I took my first vacation ever last month. I literally have never been on a plane in my life until I took a trip to Arizona. I am 27 years old, can you believe that?
I absolutely fell in love with the airplane and I got back here to NY and couldn’t wait to take another trip. I booked my next trip for May to North Caroline. There is one thing I noticed about traveling. I booked my tickets on priceline.com, as I did for Arizona. I noticed that the price of the tickets to North Carolina are almost as much as they were to Arizona! This baffles me. Arizona is much further away than North Carolina is, so why are the tickets almost the same price? It kind of annoys me, but I guess I have no choice. Either way, I am extremely excited!

I just sucessfully opened up a new credit card that offers reward miles for airfare. I am still confused about how this whole thing works. It tells me that get 1.25miles per every dollar I spend. That isn’t the confusing part. What I don’t know, is, how many miles do you need to get in order to get a free plane ticket? I could spend $500 and get 625 miles, but I know that doesn’t mean that I can travel from here to Florida. I know that miles isn’t really MILES, but its miles points. Usually they say you need say, 25,000 miles to get a plane ticket to somewhere that is 1,000 miles away. I have no idea how this works. All I know so far is I have 18 miles lol, and I want to rack them up and get on a plane and fly away!

This weekend I am making cupcakes. I am making mock hostess cupcakes. You know, the ones with the white squiggles on top of them? I found a recipe on google and has chocolate cupakes covered with a chocolate ganache and has a marshmallow creme in the middle. They sound really good. I have never made ganache before so I am interested to see how it works. I know it comes shiny if you frost while its warm. I hear you have to dip the cupcake into it, and swirl. One thing I am confused about is, how do you get the ganache not to DRIP off the sides?? or is it supposed to drip? I have found nothing written about this so I guess its trial and error. I will post pictures when I am done. Wish me luck!

When wintertime comes, the number one thing people think of, is sickness. Most people get a Flu shot- which wards off the flu virus, but I think even if you have that shot, you are still prone to getting a cold. This year, I didn’t get a flu shot, but I didn’t get the flu either, so it all worked out. What I did get, is a nasty, horrible, severe cold! I got this cold about 8 days ago and it is one fierce thing! First it starts with a sore throat…then it turns into heavy sinus pressure. After that, it turned into bloody noses and stuffed noses, and then a nasty cough. As of today (day 8), I have a stuffed up nose, and a scratchy throat, with a little cough. Last night was the first night in a week that I was able to sleep the entire night. All the other days, I struggled with sleeping due to not being able to breathe. Even taking medicine didn’t seem to help this cold, it just had to work its way out I guess. I don’t think it helps that it is 20 degrees outside either…which makes me want to move to Arizona even more!

Well I had a whole week off and I went to Arizona for vacation. I must say that Arizona is by the best place ever to visit. It was 80-87 degrees every day and the sky was crystal clear! I have never in my life seen so much sun. Not only was the weather perfect, but the ground is just so clean. There is no trash anywhere. There are no potholes in the road, and every car is spotless. It was like living in fantasy land. I stayed in Arizona for a week, and then came back to NY. I was depressed when I got back. I honestly can’t think of one good thing about NY. Here there are horrible roads, gloomy skies, fat people, trash on the roads, frigid weather….really nothing good. I almost wish I didn’t go to Arizona..then I wouldn’t know what I am missing.
