Crazy Dreams

Published by skiweaver9 under Uncategorized Edit This

Does anyone out there have crazy dreams? I swear I have crazy dreams every night, and I remember them all. Last night I dreamt that I was in a house that was underwater. I think it was a re-occuring dream, because it seemed like Deja Vu. Funny thing is, I have water dreams a lot, and most of the time I can breathe underwater. How cool is that? I am not a dream specialist but I’ve always wondered what these dreams mean. People say that I have crazy dreams, and maybe its because of eating sugar before bed- but I never do that! I can’t figure it out. Why do some people have crazy dreams and some people don’t? Any information would be appreciated.

Baby on the way!

Published by skiweaver9 under Uncategorized Edit This

No it’s not my baby. Its my new newphew! My sister in law is having her second son, and she went into the hospital last night. She still hasn’t had the little bugger yet, but should any time now. I am very excited. Her first son (my nephew) is the most adorable child in the entire world. Everything about him is good. His nature, his manners, his looks…and he’s only 3!! I can only imagine how the next one is going to come out. They are naming him Maxwell. Little Max, has a nice ring to it. Anyways, I might forego going to the gym today so I can go meet Max. That is, if she has him today! They put her on pitocin, so I think they are moving it along. Keep your fingers crossed!!

I just want my $50!

Published by skiweaver9 under Uncategorized Edit This

I’ve been writing these blogs for almost 3 months now, and I was doing great, earning $1 per blog, until I got to about 40 blogs and they told me my payout was changing. They said that I will get ‘re-reviewed’ and then my pay rate could change again.  Funny how this happened right before I was to reach $50! I continued to write however, in hopes that they would re-evaluate and increase my pay. We are strugging out here!  Are my blogs not entertaining enough? I think they are highly entertaining, and I don’t see why I went from $1 per blog to $.01 per blog! So bottom line, someone read these blogs so I can make my $50.  Or give me some ideas as to how to make these blogs more entertaining so that people check back daily. Maybe my life is really boring, I just don’t know!

Money Money

Published by skiweaver9 under Uncategorized Edit This

I am sitting here trying to figure out how the IRS works when it comes to tax refunds. I did my taxes online (here’s a plug to Tax ACT). It was very easy took me about an hour (mostly because my computer was slow) and when I was done I e-filed so I didn’t need to send anything in. Then I just printed my taxes out and put them in my safe place. After that, I did my boyfriend taxes- again took me a little under an hour and did the same thing. Both of us were getting back money from federal, and so we are very excited. Yesterday, he called me to say that his money was directly deposited into his account yesterday! This confuses me….I did my tax returns before his, and I still don’t have my refund! I was sitting here thinking that it must be first come, first serve, but apparently I was wrong! Is it just random when they send the deposits out? Or is there something that I don’t know about? Either way, I’d like to know, as I am so excited to receive my money! After all, I am going on vacation next week.

I love the bachelor

Published by skiweaver9 under Uncategorized Edit This

I don’t love the bachelor himself, but I love ‘The Bachelor” the show. I look forward to it every Monday night. Since last Monday there was an interruption due to the President speaking, I didn’t get a chance to see the whole episode (as it was on much later). In that event I had to watch it the next day online.  The channel that the show is on (ABC?) has some episodes you can watch online, but frankly, the speed of this isn’t very good. My computer (Mac Mini) is pretty high speed and can handle anything, as well as the fact that I have a cable connection and the show kept stopping mid way.  This really annoyed me.  At any rate, I finally got to the end of the show where he ‘kicked’ someone off and it was Naomi. I was very happy to see that- I didn’t like her, and I didn’t even like her family- they were crazy! He says thats not the reason he kicked her off, but I bet it is! They were very religious and I don’t think they were on the same page as Jason and Tye are. I guess we will never know the ‘truth’, but I’m willing to guess thats what it was!

cant seem to figure this out!

Published by skiweaver9 under Uncategorized Edit This

I am trying to make a marble 1/2 sheet cake. The one I made last weekend was too dry so I am back to the drawing board.  I am trying to basically figure out how many cups of batter it takes for 1 layer of a 1/2 18×12x2 sheet cake. I am reading that it is 7-7.75 cups PER layer (15.5 cups for the pan total), which would mean 1 normal recipe per layer. For some reason I am thinking this is not enough. I made the cake bibles “checkerboard fantasy cake” and used one whole recipe to make 1 layer of the sheet cake and it was the perfect amount. The problem is, I don’t know how many cups of batter that recipe made! It doesn’t say in the book! If anyone knows the answer to this question, it would be greatly appreciated as I am coming down to the wire to figure this out.  If it doesn’t work after this weekend- BOXED cake mixes it is!!  Unfortunately, thats not what I want to do, but if I have to, I will.

Marble cake and red frosting

Published by skiweaver9 under Uncategorized Edit This

ok so I am having a hell of a time making a 1/2 sheet marble cake. I tried one of the recipes in the cake bible and it came out mighty tasty, but also mighty dry. Definately didn’t care for that, so now I am on a hunt to find a new marble cake recipe, that tastes good, is moist, and can fit in a 12 x 18 pan (as one layer).   On top of that, I need to make an elmo on the top of this cake and since mousseline is the best frosting ever, I planned on using that, and making it red with the wilton “red red” gel color in the little jar. Now I am being told that mousseline won’t turn a true red! Again, I am at a loss. What can I do to make a moist marble cake with an “elmo red” frosting that is stiff enough to make fur out of?? And tastes good!?!?!

how do I fix this malware!!??

Published by skiweaver9 under Uncategorized Edit This

Yesterday I learned that I have some sort of malware on my computer here that is causing my google searches to come up incorrect. It also is causing my computer to run slow. In doing research about this, I found that its malware. I have Norton ANti Virus, and I have downloaded many different malware/spyware/cleaning type programs and ran scans all day yesterday. Every scan that I ran said that there was nothing found in my computer. I know this is a virus/malware because when researching about this specific problem, thats what it said. Unfortunately, none of the detectors are working! I Called Norton and they were not helpful, except by saying that a tech can go through my computer and tell me whats wrong- WITH a fee of $99. This outrages me. I just renewed the new year- I am PAYING for this virus software and it doesn’t even work?? Does anyone have any idea how to get rid of this malware??

Malware Vs. Norton Anti Virus

Published by skiweaver9 under Uncategorized Edit This

I just renewed my Norton Anti Virus on Monday of this week. I have had anti virus for about 4 years now and its worked fine. I did my normal yearly renewal and then ran a full scan. Everything came back fine, no viruses or anything.  Then I went to google to search for something and I noticed my searches were coming up with the wrong addresses. It only seemed to happen in google, and the searches not only were wrong, but took a long time to search. I went to a different search engine and searched for “Wrong links popping up in google” and I found that I must have Malware. This is something that Norton Anti Virus is supposed to detect and fix, but for some reason its ’slipping’ through.   Now I am on hold with Norton to try to figure this out. I’ve ran all other scans, cc cleaner, superantispyware, adaware, registry mechanic….everything is fine. This is really annoying that I am wasting my time trying to do Nortons job.  For the record- I NEVER have problems like this on my Mac. Grrrrr….

Rovers Morning Glory

Published by skiweaver9 under Uncategorized Edit This

Anyone ever listened to this on the radio in the morning? I am not sure exactly where you can hear them, I know Rochester NY is one place and I’m sure they are around other places too. I listen to them every morning while I am at work and I have to say, they are very entertaining.  There are a few people who chime in at the station and some of them are incredibly dumb.  Besides one guy who’s nickname is “Dumb”, the others aren’t the smartest either.  Rover seems like he has a pretty good head on his shoulders as a lot of the time his views on things seem similar to mine. The girl on the show apparently has some ‘bowel movement’ problems and it’s a big joke to all of them.  The one thing about this show that I like is that they talk about interesting things even if they aren’t the top news. Today they were talking about how one of the guys feels ‘unimportant’ now that his wife is about to have a baby. Its very interesting to hear a man talk that way- but its hilarious.  I am glad I have this station in my city, as every other station around here sucks!
