People and resolutions…

Published by skiweaver9 at 8:03 am under Uncategorized Edit This

I wonder why people make new years resolutions? I mean, I guess its a positive thing, saying that you are going to change something not so positive about yourself after the new year, but frankly, what are the odds that you are going to keep it?? Slim to none in my opionion. Perfect example here. I’d say the #1 resolution that people have is to lose weight, or exercise or eat better.  This means that tons more people sign up at the gym.  At my gym on December 31st the classes were somewhat empty. People must have been shopping or something…or maybe they were just at home eating. Either way, I didn’t mind it. I take the same classes each week and have been doing this for 2.5 years now.  Last night I went to the gym again, and the gym was freakin PACKED! THere wasn’t ONE spot in the parking lot so I had to park about a mile away and walk. Then I got inside and before my class starts I usually jump on the elliptical or the treadmill to warm up. Do you think that one of these would be available? Hell no, they were all packed. I really couldn’t believe the amount of people that signed up for the new year. The funny thing is, I’ll give them 3 months….and most of them will stop coming.  Then it will go back to normal….I hope.
